What's included

How we install LVP

A vinyl plank floor is only as good as the floor under it. Most gaps, clicking, and soft spots trace back to skipped prep.

Subfloor prep

We find and fix high and low spots first. LVP shows every dip, and an uneven floor is what causes gaps and clicking.

Plank layout

Planks are staggered for a natural look and run in the direction that suits the room and the light.

Expansion gaps

We leave room at the walls so the floor can move with Las Vegas temperature swings, then cover the gap with trim.

Transitions

Clean, low-profile transitions where LVP meets tile, carpet, or a sliding door track.

Stairs

Custom stair installs with stair nosing, so every step is finished and safe.

Trim and cleanup

Trim to finish the edges, and a clean house when we're done.

Built for Las Vegas

LVP in the desert

Vinyl expands and contracts with heat. In Las Vegas, a few details keep it from buckling or separating.

Heat

Room to move

Proper expansion gaps at walls, cabinets, and doorways let the floor move without buckling.

Sun

Watch the windows

Strong afternoon sun through big windows and sliders can overheat and fade vinyl. Blinds or shades help, and we'll point out the spots that need them.

Climate

Inside the AC

LVP belongs in climate-controlled rooms. For garages, patios, and unconditioned spaces, tile is the better choice.

Options

Choosing the right LVP

Core

SPC (rigid core)

A stone-plastic core that's very stable and resists dents. A strong pick for busy homes, pets, and big temperature swings.

Core

WPC

A wood-plastic core that feels softer and warmer underfoot and a little quieter. Nice for bedrooms and living areas.

Durability

Wear layer

The clear top layer takes the daily abuse. A thicker wear layer holds up better to pets, kids, and furniture.

Rooms

Where it works

Kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, entryways, living rooms, bedrooms, hallways, and stairs.

Is LVP waterproof?

Most LVP sold today is waterproof-rated, so the planks won't swell from spills or wet paws. Water that gets underneath can still cause problems, so wipe up standing water and fix leaks quickly.

Can LVP go over my existing tile?

Often, yes, if the tile is flat and solidly bonded. Deep grout lines may need to be filled first so they don't show through. We'll check your floor during the estimate.

Can you install LVP on stairs?

Yes. We do custom stair installs with stair nosing so each step is finished, durable, and safe.

What's the difference between LVP and laminate?

LVP is made of vinyl and is waterproof-rated, which makes it a better fit for kitchens, bathrooms, and laundry rooms. Laminate has a wood-fiber core that can swell if it stays wet, though some newer laminates are water-resistant.

Should I choose LVP or tile?

Both work well in Las Vegas. Tile is the most durable and handles water and heat best, so it's the top pick for showers, bathrooms, and kitchens. LVP is warmer and quieter underfoot and usually costs less to install across a whole home.
